Twitter- Your mini diary.

Look back to the title, it's not very hard to understand how eventually Twitter changed our way to express our self. We used to write diary on the book (If you had this habit and you still remember). But with the dot com burst, everything change. Books are needed no more. Everything is in the 2D screen format. You can get whatever you want and most importantly, is the way you express yourself to the world through Internet. From Frienster, Blogger, Facebook and Twitter. They had the common characteristic: Freedom of Speech, private space and also the mobility to access to the website.

Let me introduce Twitter, the latest social networking sites. It works within 140 characters. The term "Tweets" refers to the sentences that you post to the Twitter. Also, Twittter had the features of harsh tag which is "#". This is the interesting part which had maintain the numbers of users in Twitter ad even increasing. This is how harsh tag works, with the harsh tag, you can eventually see every tweets of different users from all around the world regarding to the same topic. Let's take #MondayBlue as example, when you go through the #MondayBlue harsh tag you can see the users had the common topic and it's happening in anytime.

The pictures above are the print screen of the Twitter harsh tag. It showed that every one were updating their tweets with the same harsh tag and it's keep updating with every minutes. In my point of view, harsh tag actually had the advantages of building the common bond within the Twitter users. It's like a starting topic for a conversation between the users. More than that, there is a features named "Follower", which is your friends follow your Tweets which is similar with the features in Facebook called "Friends".

Besides that, Twitter also allowed users shared the link which had showed in the pictures above. It involved the link sharing and also the @user name which is similar with the Facebook "tag". It's very convenient and it's update so frequently.

Twitter basically can be categorized in 4 ways which are:

(a) News & Opinions

Much of people still rely on the newspaper no matter is in paper or digital form. But now there are also another ways to get the latest news without going through the bunch of words in the newspaper which is using Twitter to summarize the news in 140 characters and also some links-sharing which can give you a more customized and also more segmented news.

(b) Searching

As the search engine had evolved so fast which had become parts of our life. Twitter had eventually helped us in expanding the search engine searching. We no need to worry on how and what we going to search in the search engine but can get the information by the link sharing on the Twitter which is directly go to the sources. It saves time and also you can find more diverse information from other users.

(c) Advertising

This plays important in every people. People may advertise themselves to get more followers and popular, people may advertise themselves such as blog to earn some income, well, advertising is important not only for personal but also for the business. People can expand their business by advertising through Twitter with the latest deal or promotions, or even to create awareness as social networking sites are always timely. People can always update what's the latest news and others followers can get to know it in first-hand. For example, McDonald, when they update with the new menu promotion in the Twitter, the follower can eventually get the promotion in the first hand. What's more is that when the numbers of followers getting increase, the more message will passed through everyone in the Twitter.

(d) End user Innovation

No doubt that the Internet had eventually brought the invention of the social networking sites and also a new platform for people to interact and express themselves. It's basically pro-user based. People creates their content such as story sharing, link sharing, what's happening in your daily life.......just with the 140 characters.

It's hard to believe that we are no needed our small little book to records down what happening and feeling in our self. We now tend to open up to the world about what we are thinking right now, what we just had done, and what we going to do. It's like exposed to the outer about our self. This is a great things but come to think of it, when the more you exposed yourself to the outer world, did you notice that someone that you don't even know who is she/he are stalking or observing you and you are give them the chance to know more about you. That's the privacy problem that we should be aware in the cyber world. You should notice, and so do we.

Web 2.0

This was the person of the year that published in Times Magazine at 2006. You might think on why the cover page is not some celebrities or some business leader but is YOU. This is because 2006 is the starting point of the Web world. It start with the WWW which also known as World Wide Web. Basically it's made up of HTML--Hypertext Markup Language.

Web 1.0 features were less interactive and more information based. People are more on searching and accepting the information rather than sharing the information that they had. However, things change when the Web 2.0 is introduced.

But what is Web 2.0? What are the features that made it distinct with Web 1.0? In contrast, Web 2.0 is more likely to explore on sharing part. It's more interactive. It concentrates on the common applications/services such as blogs, video sharing, social networking and podcasting—a more socially connected Web in which people can contribute as much as they can consume (Paul Anderson, 2007). It provides more spaces for people to edit and share the information. They are called Prosumer which they produces the content but at the same time they were also part of consumers which consumes the information. Web 2.0 had no barriers.

In Web 2.0, there is more flexibility for the users. The contents of the Web are more user-generated content which is the users produce the information themselves. Thus, there were the social networking sites or so called social media such as Facebook, Flickr, Blogger, WordPress, YouTube to share out the knowledge. What can be more described is that social media had represented the user itself, it's like the mini diary. They are connected to the people surrounding them. What's more is that they are connected to the world.

Maybe there are no much difference between Web 1.0 and Web 2.0 as what I can said is that Web 2.0 would be the extension version or can be understand as the evolution of the web throughout this few years. People were always looking for something new. Something that is fresh to them to let them try and experience it.

This is based on the reading of What is Web 2.0? Ideas, technologies and implications for education by Paul Anderson

Past ---> Future. The convergence of media.

It's not very hard to understand the media convergence. If you not very sure, you can try to check out the picture above. Still remember when you used cable telephone at the past old days and now how long that you willing to put down your phone and leave it without you? Well, I guess you have the answer.

Now in this digital era, telephone maybe just used in the office. Nowadays, what people are prefer having a smart phone. I think this is because it makes you feel smart cause it really sounded quite smart, isn't? What can I said is that the purpose of using the phone. Life that we live at the past is different with what happen in our life now. Our lifestyle had changed now as the advanced of the technology nowadays had make our life more easier.

Let's define media convergence again. According to Distinct Studio Blogs, media convergence is the merging of mass communication outlet. It allows the media professional to tell stories and present information and entertainment using variety of media. Media convergence not only provide a new way for media professional as well as consumer because they can choose the level of the interactivity while self-directing the media content delivery.

Newspaper, the fundamental materials that had stayed in our routine life for a long time had a significantly changes. It had shift from the paper to the Internet. B & W to colorful. Flipping to clicking. It may sound so ridiculous that paper newspaper may be a history in the human life, but it happened unintentionally because everyone are shifting to the Internet. Even though you want to read a book, e-book may be your choice but the real book.

Compare to the old days, the users now can be said have more freedom in choosing what content they want to be perceived. Even more, the users can produce their content and upload to the media platform. Have you faced when you can't watch the hit movies such as Harry Potter because there were so many peoples book it and there were no tickets left? Don't worry, you can go online and download it. Isn't amazing? We are no longer to wait for the contents to come to us, but rather we go find what content we want. The terms for this types of users we called it "Prosumer" which is we are the consumer, participant, collaborator, producer and also the users of the media.

"Convergence refer to a process, but not an endpoint." ---Henry.J 2004.As the technology are keep improving, media are everywhere now. With the Internet access, we can go everywhere we want just using a smart phone.

Just a phone with all the apps that can helps you in everything!

Don't panic if you are forgetting your anniversary, flowers, lost on track, or even how to create a romantic environment...just browse through the smart phone and it will take care of you! Smart phones now had evolved to a mini compass, entertainment, business, videos, photograph...Everything you want is all at here! It's all in one!

Jenkins had pointed out that this media convergence culture will be uneven or imbalance in the culture as someone had the wealth and times to learn the new things. It's like the comparison between the youngster generations and the older generations.

Blog is the example that derive from the media convergence. It can helps on sharing, discussion, get the latest news with the unfiltered content with the insertion of the pictures and videos.Below are the example of the blog website which is blogger, Tumblr and Wordpress.

What we can see that is we are no longer write diary on the books but rather share our daily routine life in the blog. The old media delivery had been replaced. For examples, floppy disk, cassette tape, vinyl. We can see that they are no long exist in our life anymore.

What I think about the media convergence had been widely use and disseminate so fast is because the human demands are exceeding what they can afford. Peoples are taking advantage of the convenience that the advance technology or software can bring to them. They use the application to fulfill their desire.

The convergence also had created risk to the creative industry. The term cultural industries refers to industries which combine the creation, production and commercialization of creative contents which are intangible and cultural in nature. The risk is that the new media have to rethink the old media consumption. What is the consumption of the old media before they shift to the new media delivery?

In the journal title of "The Cultural Logic of Media convergence" by Jenkins.H had discussed about 9 points of negotiations between the producers and the consumers which are:

Revising Audience's measurement

This had to see how the people view the content and media and how they willing connect the media content with themselves. For example, fans had become a trend of the idol they like it and the author had wonder will the fans communities become the new audience measurement? Because this will cause the other community being marginalized.

Regulating Media Content

Content always had been the controversy issues that raised among the parents and the media. When the media try to applied the concept of self-regulate, they also want to broaden the content into diversity which is appropriate for every member in the family. But sometimes, it just can't be accepted. And would the content being restricted next time they want to try the other ways to broaden their content?

Redesigning the digital economy

No doubt that when you want to publish a book, internet is your choice because of the low production cost. People who are interested can just use the subscription to read through the books they want. Same to the music, you can choose to listen the music from the iTunes and subscribe it.

Restricting media ownership

FCC (Federal Communication Commission) had come out with the law of the restricting the media ownership among the media company. This had make a worried of the future of media consolidation among the media industry such as Sony company had not only owns film studios but also music recording as well as electronic goods.

Rethinking media aesthetics

When study the impact of the economics that had brought by the media convergence, we also have to look into the perspective of aesthetics. Take an example, Harry Potter had been transform from books to the movies. Same goes to Twilight. This had been a trend among the media as they will use the same materials but slightly different and make a new version of it. Will this practice make more diversity of culture or just the copy machine?

Redefining Intellectual Property Rights

Arts are belong to everyone. Everyone have to right to participants in producing the arts. But what happen is that when the arts had been controls by the government, religions community or even media company, will the arts still have the freedom to be participated by everyone?

Renegotiating Relations Between Producers and Consumers

The authors had explained the two examples which are the recording industry and game industry. In the recording industry, the media company had choose to take legal actions to the  emergence of peer-to-peer technology rather than comes out with the new plans and also rebuilding the relationship with the consumer. Compare to recording industry, games industry had take other route which they will takes some opinions from the fans community rather than shutting down just because there are so many illegal games. They may always reconstruct the content of the games which may differ with the other games.

Remapping Globalization

What comes to your mind when you are given the word "Globalization"? Is it the Western culture comes to your mind? Well, many previous academic research had always start with that points. Western culture to the global market. Western country is monopoly the market. But have you wonder where is the place that Super Mario born? The answer is Japan. When is first KungFu showed come from? Bruce Lee or maybe Jackie Chan. They are all from Asian countries. Recently, they was a new trend which is the Korean wave, also known as K-Pop. It's not only created a fashion in Asian, but also to the Western country. But have you even wonder how long will this trend to sustain with the support of the fans and also the immigrant communities?

Re-engaging Citizens

Citizens may be portrayed as a passive, incoherent, and disengaged among the media. For re-engaging citizens, they are engaging in political field. When the artists or media company had portrayed some sensitive contents in their opinions, their reputation may just dropped with the sales or even the names.

At the end, media convergence are more like the combination of all the information that we wanted but is with the new platform. What we can do is try to expand and discovers more things that we interested. To make the diversity of culture with the economics impact to the society.

Theft or photostate machine,,,which are you in?

I think there were many blur area between plagiarism and piracy but well they had distinction too. After I read through week 5 journal:" On the Web, plagiarism matters more than copyright piracy." I had realize that how serious was the issues and we are actually performing the acts in our life.

Well, it's very not hard to see that pirate CD in Malaysia especially Penang. I remember that stall at the road side which had gain my attraction was the pirate stalls. The stalls had been covered and is quite hidden. The tourists will go into the stalls and starts to choose what show or movie they want. There were really a lot of pirates with different show and movie. When you went inside, there had the a card that hang on the front of the table for the segmentation. Pirates always seem to be a good business. Low cost production but high payback.

This issue had been covered by BBC NEWS that authority in Malaysia had faced a big problem of piracy as 70% of piracy had been made illegally in this country. According to the articles, it had stated that there were two billion pirated music CDs are sold every year, according to figures from the recording industry and the major record labels and film studios are increasingly worried about the impact of piracy on their business.--BBC NEWS, 2002 Malaysia faces CD piracy fight.

I guess this is why piracy had been so furious in the recent 10 years in the industry especially in the music industry. As times changes, majority of people are not longer listen to CD.  Everything had shift to the internet which had been the problem for the artist and the music company but the public are taking advantage on it.

What's your feeling if you're the artist above? Think about it.
Looking back to the issues, piracy had become main problem that had been gain so much attention from many industries. But as the technology are getting advanced so much, there was another problem or issues that had arisen which people had ignore it for a long time which is plagiarism. Same goes to the piracy, but piracy is the infringement of the copyright while plagiarism is the failure to give credit.

Users may not realized that they were performing this act in their life. But what we always do when we gonna use other resources, we tend to copy and paste the content but we forget to do the most important things which is the authors receives no credit. Well, in my opinions, I totally agree with the author that plagiarism may not caused a harm to the author itself but rather the reader itself. Readers are exposed to the false data and information which plagiarism presenting a misleading claims or hidden provenance.

Looks familiar with the figure above? Watch out! You may unintentionally developed the practices of plagiarism. This is an important issues that we had to take the action especially in the academic field. It's very important for the tracing back of the scholarly articles when comes to a published work. I think that plagiarism had to be heighten in this century, especially the youngster generation. The "Cltr+C & Cltr+V" had become the fashion or a trend that most of the students followed. There was the reason why this trend had started. The shifting of information from the hard copy to the digital format. We are no longer flipping through the stack of books just to found the few sentences. Things had changed now, we are now just Google it and all the information we want were there.

At the last lecture, I had started to contact with the creative commons which is the nonprofit organization that develops, supports, and stewards legal and technical infrastructure that maximizes digital creativity, sharing, and innovation. The vision of it is to realizing the full potential of the internet—universal access to research, education, full participation in culture, and driving a new era of development, growth, and productivity which I think is really good. This had at least, promoting the importance of giving the credit to the fine work that produced so hard from the authors. You can find more here!

In the article of John W.Snapper, he had stated the term of "fair use" for the issues of piracy. According to the Standford University Library, fair use is defined as any copying of copyrighted material done for a limited and “transformative” purpose, such as to comment upon, criticize, or parody a copyrighted work. Such uses can be done without permission from the copyright owner. This practice had been falls into these two categories which are commentary and critiques and also parody.

Commentary and critiques, for example, a review.  Review about songs, music, movie or even books. This all can be done in the fair use in the reproduce purpose. For parody, fairly extensive use of the original work is permitted in a parody in order to “conjure up” the original. For more, you can click Standford University Library.

Thinking time!!

From the issues that had carried out by Snappers, it really must gain an attention from everyone which is not about crediting but also appreciate the works that had worked so hard by the authors. But, at the end, when every pieces of information can be found in the Web, will we still take our time to trace back the work and cited the author? What's more is that will we still learn how to appreciate others people work? Will we lost the ability of the acknowledgment and just do a photocopy machine? Take your time and think about it :) Have a nice day!

Welcome to Technology Century!

You are ENTERING to technology century!

Marching to the week 4, "Network Citizen" written by Peter Bradwell & Richard Reeves is the reading for this week. In the "Network Citizen", the writers are make three chapters which are technologies, economies, and also ecologies. Today, I gonna discuss about the technologies.

As compared to the last decade or century, our life had significantly shift towards an green technology environment. We started to decrease our usage of paper and making good use of recycling the paper. As the times change, we are tend to use the convenient of the technology and now email and or social network had become our "green" paper. The information had eventually evolved from tangible forms to intangible forms. Knowledge becoming the important issues in this information age. We are starting using the technology to help us in getting a better quality outcome and also helps us to do the things that we can't do. Technology definitely help us to extend our ability. Do you agree?

Still, we are surrounded by the term "Network". Everywhere is the network. From the people around you, the object, the pictures, the status update, it seem to become part of your network. Relationship is the network. Totally puts my hands up to agree. Relationship between you and your family, friends, colleagues or even online friends are a part of your network.

On the other hand, network also commonly spot in the organizational. In organizational, the network seem to be formal as compare to the personal when it's years before the technology are monopoly the industry. The network between the boss and the subordinates. Manager and staff. The combination of the network are more like bureaucratic way.

But the pattern of network had changed. With the help of technology, the relationship or network in an organization or big company will slightly tend to goes into a gray boundaries. The subordinates will still completing their job but at the same time, they are also using the technology to maintain their network such as going for social website. This may be the dark side of an network that provided by technology.

Technology had let us build up our network and connection easily. Technology is like catalyst. It making us exposed to visible world faster. When you want to curious and want to find out something, do you eventually go to the library and flip through the books or just go online and search? Which one is more effective and fast? The answer is obvious, isn't?

Social networking are building up the connection in the fast rate. The users are increasing rapidly in every year. Technology had allowed people to use the social networking for variety purpose. Nowadays people are not using Internet as just to access to the information but also seek for entertainment purpose. Same goes to social networking sites, people are not only using for socialize but it also for building up their network.

People will find their friends online even though they know them physically and personally. They will concern about their status update and also their friends. Some social networking had provided some features such as "tagging" people in the pictures. The users can tag the picture by typing their friend's name. This is unintentionally sharing the pictures of themselves. Take an example, when you looks to a very nice video, will you sharing in the Facebook? Some may but for me, Yes. For me, I think that this act is not just for sharing purpose but for defining or branding your image to the outside world. The people can choose how and what the world see them.

There may have other purpose in using social networking sites. Many peoples sign up for social network is not for entertainment but most probably is for their own business. Many news ways of business had been created such as blog shop or online shopping nowadays as the technologies had provided the easier way of the connection. People now using social networking sites such as Facebook to open up their business. Or also create a website to introduce and sells their products. The shop is in virtual but the business is real!

Technology had remind me about a new word--produser. This word is the combination of the producer + user. We are now not only consume the Internet as a user but we also produce something in the Internet such as music or video. For example, we can produce a music video and post it YouTube. It's not only sharing but at the same time also see how people react with the network. People may view it and give some opinions. Same as the example at the paragraph above.

At the end of the day, I believed that technology had eventually broaden our network but at the same time it had also increase the time for us to sit down in front of computer or mobile phone to access the Internet. Illegal downloading had eventually bring down the CD industry. There are a lot music download website with free that allowed people to download the music, songs and also drama and movies. People now seem like taking advantage of the technology and also the Internet.

Thinking time!

Undoubtedly, technology had bringing much more advantage than drawbacks to our life. But do we actually use it for the good purpose? How do you think about the issues? And how do you think the problem that occur in the technologies can be solved or at least minimize?

Really thanks for your time to read this post! I understand that my interpretation may not be details and good enough but I do hope you can give your opinions! Appreciate it!

All the best & Have a good day!

Shu...! We are the master mind of cyberspace!

Well, no doubt, cyberspace had diffuse into the people's mind nowadays. Cyberspace, a new place for you to live. Cyberspace = my own imaginary world. Well this is quite true because in cyberspace, the virtual space that you can had 100% freedom of speech, you can express whatever beliefs, feeling, emotion or thoughts at here. Just to your own.

I think cyberspace is like our online diary. Don't you think so? Everything you want to say, it all appears in your blogs, tumblrs, Facebook, Myspace, or even Twitter! Everything is online.

                                  Hello, buddy!

What is appear in your mind when you feel like want to share your thoughts or feeling, Facebook status update? Twitter 140 characters to put your one day experience in 140 characters? Well, this all happen...in the cyberspace.

Very agree with Barlow's sentences: "Our identities have no bodies." Our mind had represent our identity. How you perceived a person is look through his/her Facebook profile? Or read through the blog that he/she posted? Well, it's a good things at least because this let people have the motivation or purpose to concern people. Because you wouldn't know that the strangers that walking past you at the morning is your Facebook friend. This is powerful of the cyberspace.

Unfortunately, cyberspace should have the broad view of green and wide field but now it had been build up by the obstacles such as tall building. Who is the tall building here? Government. Well, government had take charge in the cyberspace without authority which was described by Barlow. He didn't agree that government should take charge in cyberspace without the permission of the users in the cyberspace. It's offensive and also disturbing. It's like the alien coming to invade the earth. Without permission.

Totally agree with Barlow that government should not in charge of setting up the laws and regulations in cyberspace as everyone are treated fairly in here. But from other point of view, it's possible to maintain the peacefully situation in a long term? What happen is that not much know how to use the cyberspace smartly. It's really a good space for people to express their feelings, but what's more is the emotions that they express. It may become another way of expression. It's affected the people in the cyberspace. For example: Virus. Rumors.
Even though cyberspace are the place that people are treated fairly but more than that are how the users consume the cyberspace? What's their behavior in the cyberspace? Is it bringing a negative effect in the cyberspace society? This is the questions that we should take more time to think more deeply.

Much welcome of your critics and questions. :) Together, we choose to learn with good attitude in cyberspace. :)

Open Culture and The Nature of Network

Maybe the people above in the picture may be dying because of lack of basic need such as food, water, air etc. But things changed. What may result to the people above in nowadays century may because dying but not about the lacking of basic need but lack of network ( Wanna laugh? But it's quite true.)

Still remember how many times you go for Facebook everyday? A few days ago, I have saw an interesting topic which is regarding to the 60 seconds on Internet post by Weng Loong( His blog add is: http://wengloonguow.blogspot.com/ Check this out!) I think he had raise an important issues where it happen in our daily life in an unintentionally way.

In this week, I am gonna to analysis about a journal title: "Open Culture and The Nature of Network" The link: http://felix.openflows.com/pdf/Notebook_eng.pdf
The author for this journal is a guy named Felix Stalder.

In the 1st sentences

"New media are not bridges between man and nature: they are nature."

                                                                                     Marshall McLuhan, 1969

I was wondering why he will come out with this statement. As I read the following content of the journal. I found the author was giving a very good point when he describing the phenomena of society nowadays.

He stated that nowadays everything that we use are virtual even though we are in the real life. According to my previous post which is "My Friend Called Internet", it also include the idea that Internet had monopoly our society now. We can get everything from the Internet just a click away.Every information that we want are digitized. We are now living in the information ecology.

Nowadays, the basic element that we required are not very concern much of the basic need but rather the invisible information on a network. The connection of the information between you and the network. How people communicate with you, to keep update from your friends, to update the news etc. Everything you done now is with the network but rather to the people.

I guess this is how the way people connecting to each other in a network, what do you think?

In this journal, Stalder had emphasizes the relation between nodes and flow. These two elements are collaborate with each other. It's build because of the existence of the element.

I am very agree the sentences that are stated by McLuhan which are: The ‘meaning
of meaning’ is relationship. (McLuhan; Nevitt, 1972) Everything is so connected to each other even though they seem like a unrelated issues.

What is the nodes and flows? The relation between flows and nodes can be get it from the another research which is also done by Felix Stadler. The link is here! Back to the basic of the network, it's all about information. How the information is formed? It's nodes and it causes the flow of the information. Without one of the element, the information may not be formed.Information are dynamic with the presence of the nodes and the media that channel the flow.It doesn't always in the static state, it's active.

On the other hand, there are 4 pattern basic dimension in an information ecology. That are Interdependency, Change, Time-boundness, and Differentiation.

(a) Interdependency

Did you saw spider web in the Spider man movie? Well, that's exactly how the nodes are connected to each other. They are an unique nodes but it's connected to each other and forms an shared environment.

                             Pssssssss....the spider web!

The interdependency between the nodes are so important is because the information that they are carry and connected. Even though there are no relation between two different information, but because it relates to both side of flow to each other, the information are formed just because of the the relationship of two unrelated data.

Nodes and Flow are always exist in our network life. With the interdependency between the company, the industry just can grow rapidly. It can be described in this way in my ways of understanding which are the relationship between the retailer and the supplier. This two roles can't exist without the presence of either one. They both are depend on each other to get the supply and also the customer.

(b) Change

From the 1st sentences which is "The flow of information does not simply connected two sides; by being connected they change."  It's mean by a+b doesn't mean it will become c, but rather become other alphabet?

Again, the flow of information not just maintain in one way, but it can becoming another way when it connected to other information. It grew so fast and it can change instantaneously. A characteristic that is so emphasized by the electronic media nowadays. And by merging and outsources the node, the node had once the single character and now had change to the dependency between the node.

The changes also created a new information ecology such like the nature ecology had change once one the species are extinct. The whole food chain had changed just because of one species and a new nature ecology had formed. This result are same as it goes into the information ecology nowadays. With the dependency of the nodes, the information can eventually send through the whole information environment. But the environment of the information will change depend on the dependency of the nodes and the flows of the information also will be affected.

In the new born information ecology, change seem to be a common things. Things must be changed. Everything had changed so fast and the demand also grew differently. Take an example in the journalist industry, the accuracy of the news are importance but also the timeliness in the news. So, the newspaper had change the way present the information. Nowadays the newspaper are starting explore the online version for example The Star.

(c) Time-boundness

As I was mentioned just now, the information won't be in the static state. It changed so much in every minutes. Information do have time span. This is because the information are changed so fast in a short period of time and it had cause the validity of the information. The time span are determined by the relation between the node and flow, and also by the purpose of action. How do you evaluate the information? Is it based on the timeliness of the information? The content? Or the relation of the information from the previous and the current?

(d) Differentiation

Information are different when they are highly differentiated nodes group together to respond to newly arising opportunity and dissolve once their mission has been achieved. (This sound like the movie "Mission Impossible"). The nodes are survive as long as the information that they had produced are valid.

Differentiation is the reduction of complexity. When the two different nodes are combined, large amount of information are reduced as the inner structure of the node, in to specific information. The new information and the new connection had created are based on the interdependency of the network and flow, and also the direction of the flow are directed to.
